Instrument Air Packages (IA Skids)
Instrument air packages are air compressors paired with various means of air treatment equipment dependent on required usage expectations. IA packages range in size and for this reason each additional component in the configurator is matched by pressure and flow. Each package is designed to balance correct air flow with efficiency. Environmental heating and cooling components are applied to accommodate the strict manufactures standards of each machine’s operational characteristics.
These skids serve to safely provide clean dry compressed air to operate plant switching valves, well heads, and metering controls. Secondly compressed air is used for mechanical operations in rebuild and service shops for mechanical air supply for tools and assembly.
Air compressors compress the ambient air to provide a rated pressure and flow. Intermediate air filters are placed in line to help clean larger particles of residual dust and debris from entering the air stream. Air dyers are placed in line to dry the compressed moisture from the air. Wet and dry air receivers are placed in line to store and settle compressed air prior to delivery. Air tanks are sized dependent on SCFM.
