Description
Pig Launchers and Receivers (sometimes called pig traps) provide a means of inserting and removing pigs into and from a pipeline for maintenance reasons. Pigging can be performed for various reasons including cleaning, inspection, and plugging.
Pigs have developed with technology and can determine the condition of the pipeline, detect any corrosion/erosion or cracks, and even measure the pipe ID to ensure it is within allowable tolerances. Pigging is performed without stopping flow through the pipeline typically and can be performed on both liquid and gas pipelines.
Launchers and Receivers can range between multiple different sizes depending on the pipeline and can be specifically designed for each end user as needed.
